THE BOCARIA
Jill has been going regularly to the Bocaria (city dump) where over 4,000 people live and scavange for food. Jill, on behalf of HiM, has been bringing food, vitamins and medication to help around 40 people. HiM has been a lifeline for them. We want to increase this in the future.
children at the Bocaria
Jill and some children at the Bocaria. Behind her a mound of rubbish: people scavange for food here and live in makeshift shelters, with rats and filth around them.
HiM aims to help people with micro-businesses; build a school and a clinic and provide clean water.
This is a big project and we need your help, financially and prayerfully. Jill has recently had the help of an English nurse, Sally Winship, when she was on holiday. She helped Jill provide simple first aid and help with the food distribution etc.
Hope in Mozambique needs your help to feed, educate and clothe those in need.
